This painting depicts a distant view of the Susquehanna County Courthouse in Montrose, PA. It is early fall so shows a mix of green and fall colored leaves. Montrose lies high on a mountain in Northeastern Pennsylvania and has wonderful fall foliage, a beautiful lake and lovely rural vistas.
